Low production notification / remote logger operation

Post by Andreas » Fri Jul 15, 2016 9:11 am

Hi,

during operation of 123solar with SBFspot two items came up on my wishlist for this software:

1. The option two mark individual inverters as remote. For instance when running SBFspot on a second (remote) Raspi triggered by a local cronjob and transfering its data files periodically via ftp or rsync to the (central) logger.

2. An additional notification switch, which generates an email in case the monthly production is below the predefined threshold.

As time permits I plan to extend the sources accordingly. If someone already did or planned this please let me know to join forces.

BR,
Andreas

Hi Andreas,

1) you can create a protocol do so
2) I believe it's better to improve the monthly report (i add that in my todo)

I don't think it is wise to fork the project. If i listen each wish or recommandation, the program would be cluttered. But still, you can do whatever you want, it's gpl'ed..

Hi,

regarding (1) that's a good point. My intention with point (2) was to improve the automatic operation, namely to get notified in case something is wrong with the production behavior, without regularly checking the GUI.

Andreas

Well, if something's wrong, your inverter should say so..
SBfspot can't report errors and warnings ?

Hi,
If this can help, SBFspot gets all inverter errors and warnings in events table in sqlite db and csv file.

Hi SBF,
That's neat :)
123s just need a query command that return the last active errors and warnings. eg with aurora

[root@i3 ~]# aurora -a 2 -A /dev/solar
Alarm 1: No Alarm
Alarm 2: No Alarm
Alarm 3: No Alarm
Alarm 4: No Alarm

[root@i3 ~]# aurora -a 2 -A /dev/solar
Alarm 1: Bulk UV W011
Alarm 2: Bulk UV W011
Alarm 3: Bulk UV W011
Alarm 4: Bulk UV W011

Thanks
