Hi,
Can you test successfully the communication via the 123s admin ? (Test communication)
If not, check aurora permission (chmod a+x /usr/local/bin/aurora)
If so, enable debug (main cfg) then start/stop 123s and check what 123Solar errors log hint in help.

Thankyou for responding Jean, much appreciated.

The permissions seem correct, as I directly can run the aurora command output using:
-rwx--x--x 1 root uucp 86057 Jun 11 23:18 /usr/local/bin/aurora

pi@Weather ~ $ aurora -a 2 -c -T -Y5 -d0 -e /dev/ttyUSB0
20140612-16:28:57 279.958496 0.475304 133.065399 283.098145
0.609034 172.416290 246.974274 0.676862 159.415833 49.9
96002 52.185070 23.074415 23.168909 11.016 51.180
0.000 106.997 3238.652 12577.870 12577.870 OK

123s Admin test communication returns:
aurora -a 2 -c -T -Y5 -d0 -e /dev/ttyUSB0 return :

error : /

The 123s debug log contains the following:
12/06/2014 16:30:54 Starting 123Solar

sh: 1: php: not found

Hope this information helps in your analysis.
Regards
xlszych

Thank you Jean,

I discovered that yesterday also after some investigating and installed php-cli.
This has fixed the 123s ON button to go Green.
www-data 11653 1 57 08:43 ? 01:22:19 php ../scripts/123solar.php

However, I now get the following under 123s errors log:
sh: 1: aurora: not found

Which sounds like a path issue under php. Any ideas how to resolve this ?

Hi,
Yes it is a path issue. I'd rather think it's your webserver (apache?) that don't allow /usr/local/bin.What is your config exactly ?

It's actually Lighttpd, but I'm unsure where to add an env path to /usr/local/bin for the aurora binary.

Kind Regards

I tried an upgrade yesterday and countered some issues,..

Steps followed are the following:

I took a backup of /config and /data of the running 1.5.4 version
I upgraded my system (pogoplug v5) to aurora 1.8.7
I installed 1.6.5.4
I copied config_main, config_invt1 and config_invt2 back to the correct dir.
I copied the folders data/invt1 and data/invt2 back to original location.

I also followed the directions in this thread: http://www.123solar.org/phpBB/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=80

Problems i encounter:

i can't enable debugmode because config_main.php can't be saved,.. rights of this file is:
-rwxr--r-- 1 root root 1287 Nov 7 2013 config_invt1.php
-rwxr--r-- 1 root root 1284 Nov 7 2013 config_invt2.php
-rwxr--r-- 1 root root 367 Jul 9 2013 config_main.php
-rw-rw-rw- 1 1000 1000 0 May 12 16:34 index.html

gauge isn't working,..
user http has been added to uucp group.
[root@pogoplug 123solar]# ls -la /dev/ttyUSB0
crw-rw---- 1 root uucp 188, 0 Jan 1 1970 /dev/ttyUSB0

previous data isn't shown, rights to /data are:
drwxrwxrwx 7 http http 4096 Jun 28 08:09 invt1
drwxrwxrwx 7 http http 4096 Nov 1 2013 invt2

Any advice is more than welcome :-)

Hi,
Your config files permissions aren't correct. You better start from scratch and use the packed config file.
Check your communication with the 'Test communication' button before starting 123s.
Check your imported data ownership/permission ls -l data/invt1/csv/ and did you have convert your 1.5 data into 1.6 format ?

I removed the 123solar dir and started over.

Main config i set up 2 inverters, invt 1 can be configged, invt 2 can't be saved (permission issue? http://pastie.org/9340142 )

123solar can't be started from the admin menu (also permissions probably?)

aurora -a 2 -c -T -Y5 -d0 -e /dev/ttyUSB0 (found in another post on the forum ) gives me some output.

If you can't save config files, it is a permission issue. (You show directories permission, not sub files.)
Running aurora in a terminal don't mean your http user (or whatever else) can run it. That's also why you need to test with the 'Test communication' button.
